Seriously chicken pox!

Audrey's got them!  She has been imunized but it is text book chicken pox.  Low grade fever then spots last night on her belly and they are starting to spread and get puss filled. 

I've been on the phone on hold   with the Dr's office for 20 minutes...I'm trying to find out if :

  1. Audrey can get her scheduled flu shot on Wed 
  2. If Violet has been vaccinated yet or not. 
  3. How long she needs to stay home from school.

    Just got off the phone...

    Violet has not been immunized yetIndifferent but Audrey has been immunized twice.   They say 10% of the population it doesn't work on.  GREAT!

    Audrey is happy because she can not get her flu shot on Wed.

    Oh no!!

    I had a scare when I thought A had been exposed once asked the doctor about it.. I don't believe the varicella vaccine is given until at least one year.

    She said if he did get it, it would simply be monitored and then he wouldn't receive the two vaccine doses.

    This was a while ago so it's not fresh on my mind but maybe it will help some!

    Oh sucko! I am so sorry to hear that she has Chicken Pox. I hope she gets better soon and I hope Violet doesn't get them.

    Oh man, I hated the chicken pox.. and the oatmeal baths or whatever they were.. yuk!

    I hope Audrey gets over them soon and that Violet doesn't get them.. GL :-)

    When we had the chicken pox, my mom gave us lots of ice cream.  I think it's a really good medication.

    Poor Audrey! My dad and brother were both immune to them (they were both exposed multiple times) and I ended up getting them twice. I hope your other kids stay spot free!!

    Poor you, poor Audrey! I hope V doesn't get it. I have had chicken pix about six times now. I am one of the lucky ones who don't seem to build immunity. Don't even get me started on Mumps and Rubella. 

    FWIW, Looking back, the few times I had it when I was under 12 were not as bad as later on, so hopefully she gets off easy. Cool baths always helped the itch for me, and Benedryl does as well.
