Hey girls,
I know I have a while to make my decision, but I'm driving myself crazy trying to decide what stroller to get with baby #2. My DD will be 3 when baby arrives, but she is small for her age and still uses the stroller for long outings and especially crowded places (like a street fair we went to this weekend...DH carried her almost the whole time because we keep trying to leave the stroller at home in hopes a double won't be necessary). I really want a good single stroller that has the option of adding a second seat for the longer outings when i'm with both and especially when DH isn't around to carry DD #1. I am guessing she may use the seat for a year (3-4years)? I would like a buggy board to be an option for shorter trips and when she's outgrown the seat around 4yo.
I think I've narrowed it down to either the baby jogger city select or the uppababy vista with rumble seat. We may have one more baby after #2, but then again, we may be done at 2. Please shed some light on this difficult decision! TIA!
Re: BJCS vs UBV help please!
I was faced with the same decision and we ultimately chose the City Select. The Rumble seat sits so low on the UBV, it's not a full-size seat so the weight capacity is only 35lbs, and Uppababy only offers a two year warranty. The City select offers better configurations either with a car seat and a stroller seat, or with two full-size seats, They also offer a lifetime warranty.
If all things were equal we would have gone with the UBV, simply because I liked the looks of it but practicality won and we went with the City Select. It's definitely a nice looking stroller though and I love it even more now that I was able to buy a purple second seat:)
In your opinion, should I order the bassinet too or just use the car seat for 6 months? I haven't seen the bassinet in person, but if it's comfy enough for nighttime, then I'd like to use it for the first couple months...anyone use it?
Anyone else out there buying a double for a 3 year age difference?

I never did puchase the bassinet kit because from what I understand, you have to snap the bassinet into one of the seat frames and I had visions of having to go back and forth between bassinet and seat. We just got the car seat adapter and used it instead.
Interesting to know re: new car seat adapters...I will have to look into that!
Thanks girls! Looks like it will be the BJCS which was the way i was leaning anyways!
