I was on it before I had DD, and I kind of hated it. My periods were pretty irregular, my cycles were usually 4 weeks exactly but on this they varied between 4 and 5 weeks. If I happened to miss a pill I would spot until my period started, so I would basically bleed for 2 weeks. I will say it did make my periods lighter, so that's a plus!!

Im on it now and have been since 3 months PP. I've really liked it so far. I used to have a lot of issues with BC, but none with this one. I started it on a Sunday and my period comes exactly when its supposed to, its super light, and only lasts maybe 3 days. It took a couple of months for it to get regular. I used to have crazy periods even on BC and they would last a full 7 or more days and they were HEAVY the entire time. It sucked! I loved being pregnant and not having to deal with that, but I don't mind it so much now either because the BC has really helped. Hope it goes well for you!
I took it a few years ago and LOVED it for about eight months, then my boobs started hurting really bad all the time till I switched to something else.

I think it varies for everyone since its a hormonal drug and everyone is different. However for me, I loved it!! I didn't have any PMS and the best thing was I never got a period while I was on it.

This triggered migraines in me that would keep me in bed for sometimes 3 days. If you are prone to migraines, stay away from it! As soon as I got off it to ttc, they instantly stopped!
i was on the generic version for 1 month at 8 weeks pp. i hated it, made me not be able to sleep ever and act like a crazy b. i would assume this is not normal for everyone though.

I think this is the one I'm on...Loestrin, I don't know if there are different versions of it. My dr has started back at square 1 with me and this is where we're starting. I went back on what I was on before getting pregnant...was on it for 4 months and I was a CRAZY PSYCHO B!TCH! So, we're starting over. I'm on my 2nd pack of this and feeling much MUCH MUCH better. I did have break through bleeding last month, but just figured it was normal because of starting a new kind of bc. My dr says it takes at least 3 months to get it in your system and see "what" it's going to do to you. So, I'm going to stick with it, obviously, but if I continue to have breakthrough bleeding I'll call. But, so far so good.
I am currently on this birth control and was on it for several years before baby. I have had really good luck with it. My periods always come on time and progressively got lighter the longer I was on it. Before I went off of the pill, when TTC my periods were down to (3) days and extremely light. Since going back on it have had no issues and still happy with it.
It didn't work for me (well, it worked for pregnancy prevention-- side effects were intolerable). Low hormone pills (oddly) result in month-long breakthrough bleeding, which does;t work for me. I am now on Tri-Lo Sprintec. It works for me in al regards.
Try a month or two, see how it goes. You may be just fine!
This for me too. I just stopped taking them since I was going to TTC soon anyway. You should try them for a couple months first though.

good to know!
I'm on it now, and it's ok. I only get my period for a day or two at a time...however, sometimes I get bleeding at 2 weeks after my period.
