Fan or no fan?

It's cold in my room, even with the heat on. I have the ceiling fan on to keep air circulating, but it seems too cold with the baby in here. I have him in a long sleeve sleeper, a fleece sack, and swaddled in a light swaddle blanket.

Does anyone else NOT run a fan? I'm afraid to not have it on because I am way too paranoid!

    People who lived before ceiling fans survived! If you think your LO is too cold and seems fussy from being cold, I don't think it will be the end of the world to not run the fan. I told my mom about fans and SIDs and she said she never ran fans with us kids.

    We run small non-ceiling fan not pointing at DD just for noise and air circulation,
    BFP #1 9/2010 (lost our baby at 21 weeks) BFP #2 8/2011 (ectopic pregnancy) BFP #3 10/2011 (chemical pregnancy) BFP #4 12/2011 (Abigail born 8/15/12) BFP #5 5/2013 (Griffin born 1/23/14 with heart defects, now repaired!)

    Does it have a reverse switch? A lot of fans have them to circulate air in the cooler months with the heat on

    The only reasons I have a fan in my room is 1) we can't sleep without one and 2) for white noise.  I'll probably put one in DS's room but again for white noise.
