I need some help with this and please forgive my ignorance on the subject....being from FL, I've never had to deal with this before. I'm not sure how to dress DD for bedtime now. It's getting into the low 40s here at night and by morning, it's pretty chilly inside. DD has been waking up crying during the night and when I pick her up from the crib, she feels cold. I've been putting her in a fleece footed pajama but maybe it's not enough. What do you all put your LOs in for bedtime during cold weather months? Would it be too much to put a fleece sleep sack OVER the fleece PJ or should I maybe just try putting a long-sleeved shirt under the PJ?

How'd she sleep?
Also, I know you've had it for a little while, but I love you new siggy pic!
We're in Michigan here...40s isn't even something we blink at, lol! So funny to see all the different places we live in.
DS has always hated being in a sleep sack or swaddled, so we never used any of those. (I have a bunch and couldn't return them, since I washed them. Blah)
We just keep the heat turned up to around 72. He sleeps either in 2 piece jammies (usually Carters), or in the winter we also do fleece one-piece. Or at least we could last year - he now hates anything that's 1 piece, so time will tell. It's been in the 40s for the last few days at night, and he's just had on 2 piece jersey jammies and socks, or flannel pants with a sleep shirt and socks.
I am always amazed at how many people use sleep sacks on their toddlers. Mine would never get any sleep - he'd be too busy whining and trying to get out of it!
@jcsumm....
Thank you!! It is from her 12 month photo shoot.
How she slept....I think it helped a bit because she's now making it until 6 am and sometimes a little later and she doesn't wake up screaming in the middle of the night. I'm not sure if the added layer was the solution, though, because she also just got 3 new molars!!! We just moved into our rental yesterday and she did even better last night in her own crib. She had been sleeping in a PNP for the past 3 weeks while we were staying at a friend's house, so that may have been the issue, too!
@stephdruskinis....
We just moved from FL to WA State 3 weeks ago, so we're still acclimating to the cold weather. We just started using the heater at night a couple of nights ago, so it was pretty chilly inside for sleeping.
As far as the sleep sacks go, DD has been using one since around 3 months old after we stopped swaddling her, so she's used to them. We only put her in the sleep sack right before she goes into the crib at night and she usually just rolls around in her crib until she falls asleep. I watch her on the video monitor sometimes.
