Parenting after a Loss

If you CD...

We just made the switch to the CDs and I just washed the first load...I was under the impression that with the yellow newborn poops you didn't have to rinse them out, but several diapers seemed to still have poop in the seems after we washed them...not just stains but actual poop.  My sister said she never had this problem...anyone else?  Did you just start using the diaper sprayer?

Re: If you CD...

  • That is really strange... we are not using a sprayer yet and haven't needed to. What's your wash routine? We're doing one cold rinse with detergent, and then a hot wash/cold rinse with more detergent.

  • I agree with Rusalka...sounds strange.  What kind of washer do you have?  If it's an HE, I recommend adding a soaked towel to with the diapers before you do the first rinse...the weight of the wet towel fools the machine into thinking you have a lot more clothes in there so it adds more water - which might help get that poop rinsed out before the normal wash cycle.
