DD will turn 5 next December. And, we are thinking about doing a big trip to Disneyworld to celebrate. Going in December will be tough for me workwise, so I'm thinking about doing it in either November or January. We were there for 2 days in October a few years ago and it was hot but not awful, definitely warm enough to swim. I'm thinking November might be ideal - less crowded and slightly warmer than January. Thoughts??
Re: disneyworld in November or January?
We went in mid November last year and loved it! It was not crowded at all. We waited at most 10 minutes in line for the majority of the rides. (We didn't do many thrill type rides though. We did all the popular other rides that DD could go on.) I also really enjoyed all of the Christmas decorations. The castle is completely lit up with white lights and is gorgeous. It was mid 80s the whole time we were there. DD went swimming every evening. We also found a good deal online for the Disney resorts. I definitely vote for November.

We are going the 1st week of December this year. I did a ton of research before picking our dates. Really wanted to take advantage of not being tied down to a school calendar. Assuming you are not going in Thanksgiving I would choose November. Good weather, lower crowds and depending on when you are there some of the Christmas decorations will already be up. January will probably be the lowest crowds but things are sometimes closed for refurbishment. Below are 2 good websites that have crowd calendars. You have to pay for the 2nd one to get all the features but it has a ton of good information and I like their line wait time app.

Definitely November, but as others have said, not Thanksgiving week.

Have you ever gone on Halloweeen?
