I found it really nice that they left me alone, lol. I didn't get a lot of sleep before I went into labor (I went to bed around 12am and woke up at 4:30am with contrax coming every 7-8 minutes)
My labor lasted 16 hours after that and the majority of that time I spent sleeping.
I did enjoy that my DH was there when we had some minor complications and held my hand and talked me through it, I couldn't have done it without him
My L&D nurses were really awesome too, even when they were giving potentially bad news (the complications) the way they did it was matter of factly and with compassion to my birth plan (which they followed! make one!!)
