I have a big boy (17 lbs 26") I love using the front carrier because it makes chasing after a 2 year old so much easier, but he's definitely starting to outgrow mine. Are there any for older/ bigger babies? I'd like to be able to wear him close to a year. I'm also pretty petite if that matters

Re: how can I wear my big baby
Which infantino is it? Narrow base or one that goes knee to knee?
Do you want to stick with buckles? There are plenty of options that will let you comfortably front or back carry him. Honestly, I would skip the smaller bodied buckles like the Ergo and Beco if he is already 17 pounds and 26 inches - a larger bodied carrier will feel more comfortable for you both. Since you are petite, it would be ideal if you could try before you buy (check to see if there's a baby wearing group in your area) as some buckles aren't a good fit for petite mamas. Boba, Babyhawk Oh Snap, Olives&Applesauce, Tula, Kinderpack, Action Baby Carrier - all are easy or mostly easy to find and are either taller or come in toddler sizes (toddler size varies but check the manufacturers recommendations as to which size you should get).
With a carrier that fits well, you should be easily able to carry for as long as you'd like!

I could still carry my 32 lb daughter in my Ergo quite easily if I wasn't 9 months preggo. She's tall so it would probably have to be on my back now, but I wore her when I was still early in pregnancy and she was over 30 lbs by then already.
I can't speak to the carriers the pp listed but I stand by my love of the ergo. It is snuggly and cozy and goes up to something like 40 lbs. I also purchased (but haven't used yet) the lillebaby carrier which seems very like the Ergo but with some additional options. I believe that goes up to 45 lbs. I'm also not petite framed.
I do support the try before you buy if you can. You might be able to do this if you find a higher end baby store near you. They may have something on display that you could put your son in.
