Greetings and Intro/TTC Questions

Hello everyone! I just joined theBump today, though I have participated on theKnot and theNest in the past. 

So I'd like to introduce myself, my name is Mariah and I am 21. I have been married to my husband for 2 years now. We are both 4th year college students and have decided to start TTC and see where we end up. I'm very excited since, even though I'm young, I have the baby bug really bad. Looking forward to getting to know everyone on here...oh! And this will be our first baby.

So now for a couple questions, ( I know I can find some of this info in other boards, but I'd like a little more personal and direct advice) Thanks! So I was on BCP for about 4 years ( not for pregnancy prevention, but for hormone control) and I stopped taking it Feb of this year. DH and I haven't been seriously trying and I haven't been charting because we just wanted to see where is would go. I now would like to start trying to figure out when I ovulate but I'm not sure what the best method is. I was really irregular before the pill (thus the reason for taking it), but I was pretty consistent in cycle length after getting of BC until now. I was on a 5 week cycle but now it's all messed up and I don't have a clue when I ovulate. Also, would you recommend a CNM or an OB/GYN? I met with a CNM, but my insurance is being difficult as far as the covering that service goes.
