It seems like it is more trouble than it is worth to put on eBay or CL or Garage Sale, but then I know I like getting deals those places. Plus, I've been buying a little higher $quality$ clothing lately, since they aren't growing as fast so things are holding up well.
Re: Do you sell kids' clothes?
I have never been a big fan of selling kid's clothes. Unless they're really high quality big name brands or something. In fact I get kind of annoyed when I go to a garage sale and I see people trying to sell a used onesie for like $5.00 are you freaking kidding me? it should be like 10 cents.
Anyway. I haven't given away any clothes yet because we have 2 girls so i'm re-using all the clothes, but when I'm done with all the clothes I plan to donate them to a women's shelter or something.

I tried consigning a few things I had, but it wasn't worth the effort. I had really nice, barely used pink uggs and Janie and Jack dresses/sweaters - and I seriously got like $24 for them - that the lady couldn't even mail me a check b/c it wasn't over $ 25 - so I'd have to go to her shop on a weekday to pick up my check. Ugg - PITA, no thanks. I just donate my stuff to Goodwill and am done w/ it. I've sold and/or given away a few equipment typle things from my house - just listed them on my local bump or FB.
Now, if I had nice equipment, I'd sell that.
I get a lot of DD's clothing second hand from a work friend, but I can still consign a lot of it when we're done. We have a local shop that is pretty picky, but will give you a few bucks per piece. It's better than nothing. All money we get goes to DD's savings.
Oh, and I've actually made a little money on eBay - I sold Ralph Lauren clothing and Gymboree stuff there. It's a pain and almost not worth the effort.
after anovulatory diagnosis and TTC for 1 1/2yrs with several medicated cycles and one chemical pregnancy, we have our first bundle of joy!

I don't take one single minute for granted.
Right now we're saving in case we have another LO, but a suggestion for people that are donating....A local women's shelter mentioned to me that they are always in need of baby care items, as a lot of the women there have small kids. If you have sealed formula (samples that you didn't use) or baby items, they might go to really good use there.
They also said they really appreciate getting maternity clothes if you're done with yours.
My mother buys her a lot of designer clothes, which if they're in good condition, I usually put away for either another daughter of my own or my sister's future daughter.
However, I've also donated clothes to her daycare of all places which said they were interested in them.
This. I buy and sell at Just Between Friends sales each year. I usually make a couple hundred dollars.
I am part of a "yard sale" type of group in my area on Facebook. I love buying my 4yoDD clothes on there. I find out in a little more than a month what this LO will be. If it is a boy, then I will be selling my DD's small clothes. Probably like a whole bunch for $20. Not much, but it will get me a few packs of diapers! :-)
