If I get one more.. (Vent)

Text/call/Facebook asking how I'm doing or if I'm excited for the baby, I will scream and cut off all ties to the outside world. (Besides here of course!) I feel exactly the same I did yesterday when you asked. No, I'm not excited for the baby. Matter of fact, I'll just give her away to someone who is excited. OF COURSE I AM! Idiot. Seriously, some people are just annoying the sh!t out of me and I feel like I just have to slam my head on the keyboard to get away from the stupidity. Maybe it's because I'm getting closer so I'm a little more on edge, but holy wow! It'd be a lot different if it was different people everyday or every other day, but it's not. It's the same nutjobs who ask everyday. It's not going to change people!

UGH! Thanks for listening. Have a cookie! :)

  • I hate it too! Every morning when I come into work, they are like..."What? No baby?!" Sometime I want to be like..."Yeah, actually I had him last night, but figured I would still come into work today, big belly and all- why not..." ANNOYING!

  • I get this a lot too. During pregnancy it doesn't bother me so much but the stupidity surrounding deployment drives me up the wall. Now that they're happening together I'm sure I've given too many death stares.

Currently going through our second deployment. Can't wait for Zoe to meet her daddy!

  • I'm so with you. I'm about to start telling people "Eh, nah. He's taking forever to start labor so I'm over it. Time to move on to being excited about my wedding anniversary. He had his chance." If I could keep a straight face I would SO do this!

    Also my MIL keeps texting my DH to see if the baby arrived. I suggest he tell her "Oh yeah, sorry, we knew we forgot to tell SOMEONE. He came a couple days ago. Surprise!" He chuckled :-}

  • Oh, bless their sweet, naive hearts. My co-workers and customers ask the same things everyday. Have you not had that baby yet? and So, are you excited? It's so aggravating. I came back from work from my days off and someone actually said so did you have that baby while you were gone?! Are you serious? I'm 37 weeks prego, I'm huge, no I did not have my baby on my two days off, otherwise I would NOT be here.

OMG please tell me you will do this!  I literally LOL'ed.

I got an abundance of texts/FB messages this entire week and I am so over it.  No the baby isn't here yet!  It's so annoying.  I get that everyone is excited since this is the first baby in a very long time in my family but come on.  We'll let you know when it's going to happen and that's that.  Leave me alone!

Ugh! This! It's making me want to start my maternity leave early. I'm so over it.

  • Yep. My mom and MIL are driving me nuts. And I still have 2 weeks. I do not envy you guys whose families are close enough to stop by and check

  • I'm getting very stabby about this as well. Seriously, I will let everyone know when it happens!!

...With one exception, I think it is terribly cute that my teenage brother calls me everyday to see how me and the baby are doing :)

  • Pfft, just wait until you hit (and pass) your due date! People become downright frantic. It makes me glad I no longer have a Facebook. I can just turn off the phones :)
  • The grass is not greener on the other side.  I realized yesterday that I have not heard from my dad or step-mom in nearly 6 weeks.  No calls, no texts, facebook, smoke signals... nothing.  I hadn't really thought about it much because I have been so busy prepping for baby but now that the dust has settled and most things are checked off my to-do list I realized I hadn't heard from them.  Last text in my phone from my dad is from August 24th when I invited them to dinner and from my step mom it's from the 25th in regard to my shower that was that day.

They can't be too busy.  My dad text DH recently to ask if he could take a day off to go golfing (my husb never takes off work ~ seriosuly Dad?!?).  But not one question as to how I am doing.  I almost wonder if he realizes his youngest child is even having a baby.

  • I have told a few people from work that I had him last night, but just decided to come into the office today anyway.  I can't wait until the bump goes down!  We're a sarcastic group though.

  • This is exactly why after this next week, I'm going into 'hiding'. I told DH I am no longer going to choir practice, church, grocery shopping, etc. as I am sick of the comments I'm getting. I'll be thankful for the day when I walk in the room and some obnoxious person doesn't yell, "Whoa, you're still here? Where's the baby?" or feel the need to touch me (oh do I have stories).

I seriously want to throat punch some people...well actually, most people right now.
