NBR: Throw out or give away?

So I finally went through my underwear drawer, it was getting to the point that I couldnt close it anymore!!  Since I've changed sizes so much the last couple of years I'm ready to throw out a bunch of undies and bras, but I'm not sure if I should put my gently used bras (ones I only wore a few times during my pregnancy) to the side to give to charity.  Is that icky or do you think people would use them??

    by the time i get rid of my bras they are ratty so i toss them.

    I would suggest a charity like a women's shelter (like CASA) - or freecycle them. It's amazing what people will take! (however, I'd probably not let them go to a man...that's just creepy!)

    Gently used bras I would give to goodwill or something similar.  Undies=toss.

    If I really needed the underwear, and was getting clothes from a charity, I would take them.  I might initially be grossed out by it, but I'd do what I had to do. :)

    i don't know i was wondering the same thing about ligerie (like nighties and teddies) that i only wore once and have NO hope of ever fitting back into.  seems a waste to throw them away but I know I wouldn't buy that stuff used.

    Ditto.  I actually give my bras to my MIL (sounds funny right).  Anyway, she teaches special education and she has a class with girls ages 16-18.  A lot of them are from very low income families.  She takes gently worn items to them, the girls love it when they get "fancy bras".

    Check before you take them anywhere.  Bras should be ok, but I do know our local women's shelter will only accept donations of new underwear still in the packaging.

    I toss all of my old underwear, fwiw. I will donate everything else but underwear.

    I'd donate the bras to a women's shelter (homeless, domestic violence, etc) and pitch the undies too.  When we did a stint in a women's domestic violence shelter when I was a kid, there were lots of women and children that didn't have an opportunity to take anything with them when they left their abuser.  It was really sad.

    toss the undies...that's just gross.

    You can try to donate the bras...I wouldn't buy a used bra but somebody might.

    Thanks for the opinions, I'll go ahead and donate the bras I barely used and definitely throw away the undies (which for the record I did not consider giving away! Ick! )
