I know there are a few of us left still awaiting our LO's. I was recommended to download a contraction app, because everything will be tracked for you. Makes sense. I found a really great app and downloaded it, for free. Well until you get to 20 contractions then it tells you to upgrade to continue tracking. Ummm What?!? That would have been all fine and dandy had the free version stated it was a limited trial and to continue you would need to upgrade, but it did not. Then, if you do upgrade, the information from your first 20 contractions does not transfer to the upgraded version. HUH?!?
The name of the app is Contraction Monitor Free. The paid version is called Contraction Monitor. The app is by Maxwell Software. Honestly, from what I used of the free or trial app, it is a truly great app. Easy to use and straightforward. But I refuse to purchase the paid version simply because of how they try to capture you. Pregnancy and labor are not the times for trick marketing schemes. I am so disappointed that a company would stoop so low and do this. I understand that if it's free, it's probably too good to be true. However, had it stated in the description that this were a trial mode, I would have been understanding. But tricking women and men into purchasing the app, at what could be a crucial moment in labor, is a cheap shot.
All around great app ruined with horrible sales and marketing tactics.
Re: Contraction App warning PSA (& little vent)
I made rachelmichelle1 my bitch.
I downloaded this right after my original post. I like it. If you have an iPhone get this app! It is totally free with no limits. I have been tracking my contractions for 4ish hours with it, no problems!
You can change how it times contractions in the far right tab, I believe. :
more than a few of us left...it's only 10/5!
thanks for the info!
