Our little miracle was born 9/19/12 at 29w5d. He was 2lb 12oz. We were told to count on him being home on his due date11/30/12. He is doing amazing with his feelings. He no longer has his PICC Line or oxygen. They will start working with bottle/breast feeding next Friday. I was just wondering how long your preemie was hospitalized?

DD was born at 35w 4 days at 5lbs exactly. She spent 7 days in the NICU. The nurses will always say EDD but if he's already off the oxygen thats an awesome sign! I learned quick to stop asking when she would come home and focus on what she would need to do in order to come home. It was easier to think of the little goals like getting off oxygen, maintaining her temp, eating X amount, ect than to fixate on a certain date.
Oh my other suggestion would be to have them check your car seat soon... we ended up rushing out the night before she came home to get one that would fit her and pass the car seat test.
