Seriously? I was reading that US grown rice has high levels of arsenic (esp. brown rice grown in Arkansas, Texas, etc. where soil was previously used to grow cotton), which can be found in everything from baby cereal to organic food sweetened by rice syrup.
After trying to avoid BPA in tomato cans or formula containers; after buying formamide and phthalates-free floor coverings; after trying to use non-toxic and paraben-free cleaners, and so on... it feels like I can't win. The more I read, the more I want to stick my head in the sand. Now, it's the brown rice? Bah!
