for those who want another child... how long are you waiting?

I am in the "i wish i could be pregnant again immediately" camp even after everything we went through. We are going to wait of course (DH is no where near ready... he is still saying he doesn't want another kid but I am sure he will change his mind with time but we shall see). I always planned on having 2-3 years between kids but now the idea of waiting another year and a half before even trying seems SOOO long! how long are you planning to wait?

I think we'll wait to try at least until DD is a year old... unless circumstances really urge us otherwise, I doubt we'll wait longer. I can't imagine we'll try sooner, either, as I'd like to give my body time to recover! DH of course doesn't think having Irish twins would be a big deal, but I am so not down with that. I'm working a whole lot less so I can be home with her most of the time and plan to do the same for future kiddos, so it would work out better for us to have our kids closer together.

We are currently not planning on having another child, but not totally ruling it out.

As a mother to 2u2, I will say that I would NEVER do this again. DD still needs me for so much and now I have another human being totally dependent on me. It's much more difficult than I imagined it to be, and I was certainly not expecting a cake walk. That being said, I'm sure there are lots of women who would argue the exact opposite. We had trouble getting and staying pregnant, so we don't plan to prevent another pregnancy. We would be thrilled to get pregnant again quickly. I plan to EBF/pump through at least 6 months so we'll see when I start ovulating again.

We're planning to start trying in June 2013. That way, if we did get pregnant that month, I'd be due around March 2014, which would be perfect for my teaching schedule... I could take my 12 weeks through the end of the school year and then have the additional summer months before having to return to school when LO would be ~5 months old. Granted, it took us a while to get pregnant the first time, so it most likely wouldn't happen that quickly the 2nd time either, which would put our 2 LOs closer to 2 years apart in age, which would be ok, too.

Us too! And if I'm completely honest, I wouldn't be completely bummed if it failed sooner than later. (although that means I have to have sex... ick)

IF (notice that's a big "if"), DH decides he's on board for one more baby... then we will likely start TTC for baby #4 sometime around Christmas 2013. But I agreed not to bring it up until DS2 has weaned from BFing, so we'll have that talk next summer around DS2's 1st birthday.

We will try around DD's second birthday. It's not that easy for us to get pregnant, so I wouldn't wait longer than that, but it will take a little time to come to grips with the idea that I could go through PPROM all over again, etc. Plus, H and I both come from families with 3 year age gaps, so it feels comfortable to us.

We need to stabilize financially again, but hopefully after DS 2nd birthday, we will start trying again. I really want a VBAC so I am giving my body tons of time to fully heal.

As of right now, we still want 4 kids. I think we will start trying for another when Oliver turns one. I'd like the kids to be close in age.

With us it's a little more complicated because it is extremely unlikely that I will conceive naturally. I do have 3 frozen embryos, two of which are frozen together. I am 35, so time is certainly not my friend. We will probably do a FET next summer or early fall. Given my PTL and Lila's premature birth I am hesitant to transfer two embryos but thawing and refreezing does not improve embryo quality. If none of our embryos result in a living,, take home baby I am not sure if I have the emotional and physical reserves to go through another fresh IVF cycle. How nice it must be to be a normally fertile couple and not have to be concerned with these issues.

My first 2 are 2 years apart, both born in August.

I would like the next to be born 2 years after this one, but we'll see how it goes with 2 kiddos first. I wouldn't mind a 3 year gap either. I love having summer babies so, if we're lucky again to get pregnant fairly soon after TTC, we'll try for the next LO to be born between June and September of either 2014 or 2015.

But, I'd in no way be upset if we had a surprise before that.

Thinking we will wait 2 years, because DD, Scarlet will be 3 and in half days of preschool. We would go broke having 2 in daycare fulltime.

Plus I think it would be too difficult for me to have 2 little bitty ones. But we won't wait too much longer after that because Im 30 and DH is 33yrs

We want DD and a new baby 2 to 3 years apart in age, so we'll start trying again a little before DD's 2nd birthday. We got pregnant our first time, but you never know how fast it will happen.

We'll probably start trying when DS is about 9 months. It took us close to 2 years to get pregnant so we don't want to wait too long. We'll try on our own for a few months before heading back to the RE, if necessary. We'd move onto FET at that point.

Five years. Two under two has been rough. Next time both kids will be in school even a half day and I won't have to run after a toddler still learning listening skills.

We plan on waiting 3-4 years. If my health goes downhill, Albert could be our only one. Hopefully, though, the lupus will stay in remission.

We want 2-3 kids, depending on our financial situation. DH is thinking I may be able to stop working this coming spring to be a SAHM, which would be cool, then I wouldn't mind trying at that point to conceive because we would be stable. We are okay with anywhere between 2-4 years between kids. My thing is that I never want two kids in diapers at the same time, and I want to be able to enjoy the baby as the baby. They are only this little for a little while.

We aren't trying but not not trying either, if that makes sense. We are just going to let it happen when it happens. So it could be a few months it could be a few years. Hopefully sooner rather than later because we'd like them to be close in age.

If we decided to have a 3rd we will start TTC in August next year. I am running a Tough Mudder in July and cannot be pg for that. I will then give it a year of TTC#3. If it doesn't happen by then, our family will be complete and DH will have a vasectomy.

TTC#2 took 34 cycles and I don't want to go through that emotionally again, so 12 months is all I am giving it.

(Ds#1 and ds#2 are 4.5 years apart)
