FTMs....come on in....

I remember as a first time mom having a million questions for ST+Ms. At teh same time, I didnt want to bog down the board with my million questions all the time. But I wanted real life answers to my questions, not just a google search or from a book. I wanted real life explanations! So anyway.... I was wondering if any of you were feeling this way and if it wuold be helpful to do a weekly thread or something liek that to be an open forum for FTMs to ask all STMs questions they have about labor, delivery and being a mother in general. Thoughts? (I wont be offended if no one wants this, I am just trying to be helpful!)

I think it's a great idea. The "Official List" thread below is really, really helpful. Another chance to ask specific questions weekly would be very cool.

As a FTM I love this idea. I always have questions but don't want to post a new post for every one. A weekly post would be a good way to get some of my questions answered!

yes, let's do this. i'm a ftm at 38 and have questions here and there. i've considered the pregnant after 35 board, but my pregnancy has been pretty textbook so far and the advanced maternal age complications that people talk about in there scare me a bit. so i end up here most often. so yes, do this.

I think it would be a great idea. Would it work better as a daily or every-other-day post? For the most part, I think the daily AS post worked pretty well. I think a weekly one might get lost. However, the weekly check-ins we do for birthweek work well, so maybe I am overthinking this.

Im a FTM and think its a great idea. Most of my concerns right now are about labor and most of all delivery. I have no idea what to expect. I'm very scared of needles and hope to get some advise on getting thru the IV and Epidural . and my biggest fear is tearing...

As a FTM, my biggest fears were tearing and getting the epidural. But once I was actually in labor all of my fears went away!
Haha, when people tell you that labor makes you not care who see's your lady parts, what goes in your arm/back, etc, it's very true! I ripped my IV out of my arm and was bleeding all over the place, but didn't even know until about 5 minutes after my son was born!

I think its a great idea! I dont always post, but I read a lot of the posts on here and they have answered a lot of questions already and given me a lot of good advice. I have also been able to learn about all kinds of stuff I had never heard/thought of before.
