How old when your baby hit 25 lbs?

We are using a used car seat from my SIL that is for babies 25lbs or less. I know that it has not been in any accidents and we still have 2 years left before it expires. With it, I will be using a Chicco KeyFit stroller. Since the KeyFit stroller is only as good as the carseat itself, I was wondering how long your baby was under 25lbs and how big were they when they were born? Obviously all babies are different so I'm just curious what your results were.

My 2 year old is 27lbs. My nephew however is 8 months and 20 lbs.

ETA: Sorry forgot to add birth weights. DS was 6lbs 13 oz, nephew was 7lbs 2oz.

DS was born 8 pounds 3 ounces, and was 23 pounds by 12 months. He's 2.5 years now, and about 32 pounds.

DD1 was born 6 pounds 15 ounces, and at 12 months, she was 18 pounds 9 ounces. She's 13 months now and still around 20 pounds.

ETA, by about 6 months or so, however, baby can sit in the stroller without needing the carseat... or even before then, if LO can hold his or her head on their own.

My daughter is finally 25 lbs at 20 months. She was 5 lbs. 6 oz. at birth.

DS was born at 5lbs 14oz. He is 18m now and is 24lbs. My nephew who is 6 months(almost 7) is 19lbs and was born at 7lbs 6oz.

DS was 7lbs 6oz at birth. He was probably 25lbs shortly after turning 1. He got deathly sick shortly after that, and it took several months for the doctors to figure out what was wrong and DS lost a bunch of weight in the process. So I don't remember exactly when he hit 25lbs that first time. But I can tell you we ditched the infant car seat well before he hit the weight limit for it. It was just too heavy to carry him in it, so we switched to a convertable car seat at around 7 months.

DD was 7lbs 10 oz when she was born and hit 25 pounds a few months shy of her second birthday.

A friend of mine had a 7lb 4oz baby who now weighs 30 lbs at 6 months. He's fat.

It all depends on the kid.

My daughter is the same weight now (28 months & 25 lbs) that she was at 12 months. I don't know if it's typical, but she has just grown up, not out since starting to walk. I would say we switched her to the convertible car seat around 10 months (about 20 lbs). They tend to outgrow the infant car seats way before they reach the weight limits.

Agreed, we switched DD before she hit the weight limit as well, I can't imagine carrying 25lbs of baby around in a carseat! (Our seat is really heavy though too-) So it was probably around 8/9 months- and she was probably 18lbs at that point.

Shes now 16mo, and maybe 22lbs

6 pounds 7 ounces at birth. 25 pounds at 18 months. We switched him to a convertible car seat around a year old. I can't remember how much he weighed.

Ds1 was 5lb0oz at birth. He was 29lb at his 3 year well visit. He's a shrimp.

My niece is 4 and only 26 lbs. I was about the same as a kid, we are tiny people!

DD was 7lb 2oz at birth and at her 15 month appt at the end of October, she was not quite 23lb and right at the 50th percentile.

DD was 6lbs 9oz at birth. She is now almost 19 months and 22lbs. We switched her to a convertible car seat at 1 yr. She was about 17 lbs then.

My nephew was 9lbs 3oz at birth. He's now 5 months and 18lbs. He's a big boy!

My kids never reached the weight limit in their car seats before they reached the height limit. My kids are all really tall.

My DS is big he reached 25 lbs after his first birthday. He usually averages 93% for height and 89% for weight. He is almost 2 and weighs 30 lbs.

My DD is 25 months old and just about 25 lbs now. She's long and lean. That being said, we switched her out of the infant car seat at 12 months due to her length. She was born 8lb 3 oz and 21.5 inches.

My son was born at 7 pounds. He is Almost four now and only 30 pounds. I think he hit 25 pounds around 3. But he is small. He never had an ounce of chub ever.

DD was 18 months old when she reached 25 lbs, but in my experience they will outgrow it by height before they reach the weight limit.

DD was 8lbs2oz at birth and hit 25lbs around 20 months. We took her out of the infant carseat around 8 months and she was in a stroller sitting up around 5 months.
