Baby Names

I don't like any names

With DS it was so easy.  We had our names picked out 3 years before we even got pregnant.  We have plenty of name ideas this time around but nothing sounds good.  I know I'm only 16 weeks, but I've been planning my babies names since I was 11 and nothing sounds good anymore.

  • Like you said, you're only 16 weeks.  Give it a break and come back to it with a fresh mindset.  Over the weeks, I'm sure something will pop into your head that you'll adore.  Give it time! :)

  • I feel the same way, although I'm not as far along as you.  Even with DS, we didn't LOVE the name (although we love it now).  I just don't think I'm the type to fall in love with a name at all.  I start to love it once I get attached to the little one who has the name, I guess.  So you're not alone!

  • I don't like any girl names at.all. So, of course, I have 2 girls, lol. I could've named 10 boys easily. To this day (5.5years in), I still don't love my daughter's names. I like them, but I don't love them. If we do have a third and it's another girl, she'll just have to go by 'baby' her whole life.

  • We are in the same boat and I'm 32 weeks!  We definitely have to figure something out in the next few weeks.  We have two boys and we used family names from his side for both of them, but on my side everyone is a Raymond or a David, classic names but too common IMO.  I'm stuck, I love Owen for a boy but its too popular and I like Brigid for a girl but its not getting much love from DH.  good luck!
