s/o Moms in photos

Piggybacking off the advice to Oct 12 moms and how moms should strive to include themselves in photos, I just read this touching article.   And it's so true that when you look back at your mom in your own childhood photos you are not judging her for whether she still has a post-baby flab or ponytail hair or donning a hideous sweatshirt, but you remember her being there for your moments.  I'm getting all misty now....

  • Thanks for posting, what a great article.  Funny enough, my Aunt just sent me an old picture of my mom and I sitting together laughing.  My mom looks so young and wonderful...that's all I see, her being my mommy (not to mention she was rocking a lavender Gloria Vanderbilt v-neck).

My Mom's first thought was, egads look at my nose.   ;)  I'm so thankful to have this picture.

  • I'll read the article when I'm not PMSing, but I know that I cherish the old photos I have of my mom because I lost her when I was 18. I wish we had taken a lot more and there aren't any of just the two of us.

  • This is so true. My mom is so beautiful in my childhood photos. I'm flattered anytime someone compares me to her. I need to work on this.
