Chicken pox

So I'm pretty sure DD has chicken pox.  Even after getting the vaccine a few months ago.  We take her to the doctor tomorrow, but I'm not really sure what else it could be at this point!  At least it seems really mild (which could be because she's already been vaccinated).

Has anyone else dealt with chicken pox already?

NO! It's not! I'd make a terrible diagnoser. Haha.  She has folliculitis (inflamed hair follicles that form pox-like bumps), which isn't contagious and should go away on its own.  Her poor little legs look awful, but the doctor ruled out chicken pox.  The pictures I'm finding of folliculitis online do look a lot like Violet right now!

I'm glad to hear it's not chicken pox. I hope she gets better soon. Is it itchy?

Some of the affected areas dried out, and she was scratching at those.  I think just because of the dryness though.

  • I'm glad it's not chicken pox! That reminds me I need to call to get our 2nd round of MMR+chicken pox scheduled. Sigh.
