I made chicken thighs for K (dark meat is supposed to have more iron which is the reason behind giving them meat at 6 months) and I followed the directions from this website...
roasted them, then cooled, choped into 1 inch pieces and pureed with some water. I also froze them in ice trays and add a cube to her veggies each day. The texture is not as smooth as the store bought meat - a littly gritty - but if you warm it up before serving it kind of dissolves better into the veggies.
