Check the caffeine content of your preferred tea, you should limit your intake of caffeine in tea form just like any other caffeine! Some herbal teas are safe, you might want to google to figure out if your particular tea is ok. I have been drinking one cup of peppermint tea a day (no caffeine), but no more, just because they say the risks of a ton of peppermint tea are unknown. However, I tend to think if I drank more nothing bad would happen.
Depends on the tea, but generally yes. Most commercially available teas you find in the grocery store are safe (though some people recommend avoiding green tea) - its when you get into the super organic herbal teas that you can get mixed messages about their safety.
There is also the caffeine component, but your OB can answer that question about appropriate mgs per day.
"I wanted you more than you'll ever know, so I sent love to follow wherever you go."
I asked my OB this same question because I when I googled it, it basically said you can't drink any. My OB said to stay away from Green teas. Any decaff tea is safe.

Haha funny you ask that, because I was just researching it a second ago. I drank some decaffeinated tea just to be on the safe side.
This is some information that I found in regards to this matter:
Herbal teas are a safer haven, with respect to caffeine intake. But not
all herbs should be consumed while pregnant. Herbs such as ephedra,
mugwort, and cohosh should be avoided. Stick to safer herbs such as mint, chamomile, or fruit teas.
As far as decaf tea goes:
Decaffeinated tea is good for pregnant women as it retains the healthy
properties of tea while the unhealthy caffeine is not present. You
should keep in mind that caffeine is not completely removed in any
decaffeinated drink. Around 1 to 2 percent of caffeine is present still.
You should drink even decaffeinated tea in moderation during pregnancy.
Having more than 2 cups a day of this tea is not considered safe.

I think the issue with green tea is that is can inhibit the absorption of folic acid.
I used to drink a ton of coffee so I've cut down to either a small cup of coffee or a cup of tea again. I got the go ahead for orange pekoe tea so that's what I've been drinking. I have also had a few earl grey lattes (Mmmmm).
I was told to stay away from herbal teas because some herbs aren't great to drink while pregnant. So I'm sticking with the basics.
