So I went, it was CD 3 (spotted for the first so didn't count until flow, right?). They still can see the 1inch cyst in my left ovary. But what was shocking was my lining. It was at 15! The doc called me later that afternoon, and told me to start onCD 4(yesterday). I asked if she was sure since my lining was so thick. She said since I have a history of a pretty decent flow for 6+days, she thought it'd thin itself.
Anyone have experience with a thick lining on your baseline US? Anyway, I'm super stoked to have startedmy Follistim. I go for another US Friday (after two days of meds). Yay!
Re: F/U to Monday's appt
I usually have a somewhat thick lining on cd 3 when they do the baseline ultra-sound. The nurse always says it should thin itself as I finish my period. Except for me by day 3 I am pretty much done with my period.
So I asked about that and was told that my body is somehow regulating it without fully shedding. And that by mid-cycle my lining is within a normal range so, I didn't need to worry about it.
When you do your mid-cycle follie check they will check the lining again...best of luck with this cycle.

I've been told the same thing when I've gone in for what they consider to be CD1 or CD2 for baseline monitoring. They expect that my lining will still shed itself during the rest of my flow.
GL with the follistim!
