IUD & failure to progress

So I am scheduled for my IUD and my dr had the discussion with me that it is normally a quick procedure, although there is a possibility that it could be a longer more difficult procedure. My question is:

For those of you who had a c-section due to failure to progress, what was your experience with having your IUD inserted?

    Did you dilate at all?  I would think even 2-3cm would make the procedure easier.

    I dialated 1/2 a cm with DS1  (After 4 days of Pitocin and cervadil)  and none with DS2

    I only progressed to 5cm with my first and 2cm with my second.  My IUD was inserted after my second c/s and there were no issues.

    I got to a 9cm, so it wasn't a big deal. I have a retroverted uterus, so that made it harder.

    Lots of women that have never given birth or been pregnant get IUD's, so take comfort in that.

    I only made it to 2cm and getting my IUD in was easy peasy. Just take some pain medication about 20 minutes before your appointment time and you'll be fine.

    That's really odd.  I had an IUD before I had any children and it was totally fine.  I just had another one put in last week and had a RCS in May (I wanted to VBAC but had no dilation so I was getting my cervix checked) and I barely felt it go in.  I would assume you'd be good to go.

    It was quick and painless, I never had cramping after either.
