Mylicon drops vs. Colic Calm vs. Gripe water

Re: Mylicon drops vs. Colic Calm vs. Gripe water

  • Gripe water has sodium bicarbonate. Pretty much like baking soda. Colic Calm is all natural. And gas drops... I'm not sure. They seem to work better than the gripe water. And personally, the CC works better than the GW as well. Although my pedi told me I could do FLAT 7 up and water to ease tummy troubles. That idea made me nervous, so we stick with gas drops and CC.

  • Gas drops work for a lot of babies, but not mine. I gave them to him straight, added them to a bottle, etc and it never helped his gas. So he still gets painful gas, but the Colic Calm helps relieve that for him almost instantly. I never tried straight gripe water.

Just a warning, CC may change the color of LO's poop. It turned DS's a dark gray and that freaked me out at first.

  • CC cost $20 and Gas drops only $5.

But neither of them work for my baby...

  • Gas drops work the best for my baby. I tried Gripe water and it did nothing.

  • I've never been able to actually have any colic calm (it's ALWAYS out of stock), but Gripe water works wonders for my LO!!
