Facebook blues

I feel like the only person who's not having fun. lol I know we chose to have our kids close together and that things would be lame for us for a few years, but going on Facebook just bums me out to see all the fun other people are having. Our budget is so tight right now as I'm SAH and we're saving for a house, so we don't do much for entertainment these days. I rarely go on FB but I went on today and everyone is posting about their bar-hopping, fancy dinners with new boyfriend, trips to the beach, flashy new car, etc etc. Just feeling sorry for myself for a minute! Maybe someone can relate?

Re: Facebook blues

  • I think the problem is that I know too many single people. Ha ha!

  • I kind of feel your pain. A lot of my friends (w/ out kids) seem to be going to Disney World right now (we live in FL), and I LOVE Disney World. I want to go so bad, and we haven't been on a vacation (aside from seeing the ILs over the holidays) in over a year. I love DD with all of my heart, but DH and I were together for 6 yrs before she was born so we got kind of used to going and doing whatever we wanted whenever we wanted. We still go out and do lots of things locally (museums, festivals, shopping, etc), but I want to travel.

  • I can totally relate.  Sometimes I wish for the pre-baby days back.  I love my kids to death and would be so bored and lost without them but having the freedom of having no kids was nice sometimes.

  • I feel ya. My kids are 14 months apart and I never do anything. My SIL and BIL have a 15 month old and my MIL will always watch him and his sister so they can go out. No one wants to watch the 2 babies. Haha! So I am always stuck in the house.

  • I feel sorry for people like that, knowing they don't have children or the family I have. I find behavior like that kind of lame.

  • Our LO's are 18 months apart and we never do anything, and even if we had a sitter we do not have money to anything!! But honestly I wouldn't have it any other way I like my quiet Fri and Sat nights with my husband.
