I'm sure this has been done before on this board but putting dinner in a crock pot is such a lifesaver for me and I'm bored with my recipes. Anyone want to share their favorites and spice up my dinner life

Re: Crock pot recipes
DH is generally not a fan of the crock pot, but he likes this chicken taco soup:

I use chicken broth instead of beer and omit the green chilies. Top with avocado, cheese, chopped scallions, and sour cream.
Pulled Pork Sandwhiches
2-3 lbs pork roast
1 Cup of Ginger Ale
1 Onion cut up in large chunks
Cook for 8 hours
Shred meat (I toss some of the onions in as well) and put in Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce (enough to taste).
YUM!

Speaking of crock pot recipes. Look what I found on pinterst the other day. I am totally thinking of getting one. The only downside is there isn't an option to buy extra inserts

here's my crockpot tag from my blog: https://ellysaysopa.com/category/crockpot/
I haven't blogged it yet but last night we had slowcooker loaded potato soup and it was awesome. The recipe is on Pink Parsley if you want to check it out.
I love using the McCormick's seasoning packet for pot roast. It's so good and I haven't found a made from scratch one that I think is better. It is salty, but that doesn't bother me.
crockpot365.com is really fun.
--rump roast (or chuck roast) with can cream mushroom soup and a packet Lipton onion soup mix (or beefy onion). Super easy and really good.
--the pork roast thing PP suggested, but we use root beer instead of ginger ale. I'm sure it's great either way.
--any kind of Mexican chicken thing--chicken breasts plus chopped tomatoes, black beans, maybe corn, onion, and taco seasoning and/or your own spices. Plus a little broth.
--Google Midwest Living crock pot Italian Beef sandwiches. It's a pain to cut up the roast, but it really does make a difference. I've tried it both ways. These are awesome. Made them for a casual Christmas Eve dinner one year with red & green peppers.
--This sounds horrible but it is REALLY GOOD. I like to make broccoli with it (on the side, but kind of end up mixing it in on your plate). Plus, the kids love it, too.

PS--one more--whole chicken.
Just put cut up onion, carrots and celery in the crock pot. Put in the chicken. Sprinkle with paprika, seasoning salt, onion powder, pepper, or whatever you want! Could also put herbs in it or whatever. No liquid needed.
Works great and then I sometimes save the "juice" for chicken noodle soup. I heat the "juice" plus chicken broth from a carton, some water, new chopped carrots, celery and onion, a little black pepper. Boil noodles on the side, let cool, and then add in with chicken pieces and fresh parsley.
I love the crock pot and have tons of recipes saved, but the timing of it is always hard for me...
Do you all have crock pots with timers? I am gone for over 9 hours and wouldn't want to eat the minute I get home, so the timing of the 7-8 hour meals throws me a little.
Could I hook up the crock pot to a light timer?

Though ours worked OK when we left it for too long we bought one with a timer and love it so much more! Definitely worth the investment if you are gone long days.
Thanks everyone for the great suggestions. My crock pot is going to busy for the next couple of weeks.
