P singing twinkle twinkle
This is the first time she's sang a song like that, she's very shy when it comes to singing, it was also late at night and I bribed her lol. Her singing voice is nothing like her talking voice which is weird.

I am almost positive Morgan said, "baby" yesterday. Which would bring her word total to 5, including mamma, dadda. It was sporadic though, which is a plus.
DD1 is actively trying to night-train. She's been day-trained for more than a year now, but still wakes up wet. Last week she started talking about not being able to keep her pull-ups dry (and was upset about it) and wanting to wear big-girl pants at night.
We assured her it was okay, that she'd get it, and I offered to wake her up to go potty before I went to bed. She agreed, and every night since has wanted me to keep doing it. She's such a zombie when I wake her, I'm amazed that she wants to continue. And I'm so proud of her determination!
We couldn't do this a few months or a year ago. We tried. If we woke her, it was like night terrors -- she would get so upset and it took forever to calm her. Now I help her get to the bathroom, she's calm, then she gets herself right back in bed and sleeps all night.
We've also had preschool theme dress up days this week and last. Yesterday was backwards day, and although she was a little hesitant about putting on her clothes backwards, she really started getting into it and was even going down the stairs backwards.
And I know this is probably an ASD thing, but I didn't know until a few days ago that she can recite the alphabet backwards. Like it's nothing, like she barely has to think about it. I joked to DH that if she ever has to pass a roadside sobriety test, being asked to say the alphabet backwards won't even faze her.
Last night at Open School Night, his teacher and teaching assistants were talking about how smart he is and how ahead he is in terms of knowing his letters, some colors, shapes, etc. They were also relaying some funny quirks of his and ... this is my favorite part - that his sense of humor seems to be emerging. His dad's a total clown sometimes and apparently so is he!
My DS is turning 13 next month. He has AS. He made an age appropriate but dirty joke that was actually funny.
While I had to explain while the joke is funny it's not appropriate in MOST situations. He just seemed to be a typical 13 year old Boy who thinks fart and penis jokes are funny.
I felt like Auntie when she said she celebrated that her son lied for the first time. While you have to correct the behavior it's really great to feel typical and to know that it's a real milestone.
On Mondays we order one large pepperoni pizza because Mondays are the most tiring days of the week because I work and DH and DS have school.
I think I saw DS eat a pepperoni twice! This may be huge to me but this is the first actual meat and iron he has had in months! I have had DS eat the pasta sauce from pizza, vitamins and milk to keep his iron intake.
DS (14 months) is crawling! He has been wiggling his way around for a couple of months now, but in the last week he has started to crawl on his hands and knees to get around. Hooray!

DD said, "BAH" three times. We also heard from her daycare teacher that although she is smaller than all the other babies in the class, she is much sharper and smarter than most of them too. We are also inching much closer to the 12lb mark!
To my boys: I will love you for you Not for what you have done or what you will become I will love you for you I will give you the love The love that you never knew
Today when I pick ds up from preschool, one of the little boys came up and gave ds a hug and said "I like you"! I love that ds is well liked and has made so many friends in his class, he has a "girl friend" in his class according to the teacher and another little boy has told me that ds is his "best friend" even though they sometimes fight over the Thomas the Train toys.
I'm a little late to the game but I thought I would post anyway.
DD1 accurately told me a couple of things that she did at pre-school the other day. This is big b/c typically she has a standard response that she gives to the question, "What did you do today?" and it's never detailed (she basically says the names of her favorite people in class even if they weren't there that day).

RD, I love the song. So sweet!
