Where does your baby nap during the day?

I'm wondering if I should start putting DD (7.5 weeks) in her room to nap, rather than downstairs.

The past few days she's been waking repeatedly during each nap, and I wonder if being more aware of the world around her means that the noises downstairs (TV, dishwasher, etc.) are waking her up--or at least that she's interested in seeing what's going on so she fights going back to sleep.

Of course this could just be a phase that she'll outgrow, or just a bad couple of days in a row that will go away quickly (I hope!).

    My baby is around the same age and I was putting her in her crib to nap during the day until recently. She no longer stays sleep when she's in there so I started putting her in the swing or on a blanket on the couch in the living room and she sleeps longer. I think its because it's a little cooler in the living room than her nursery.

    Part of our transition to sleeping in the crib was even for naps DD sleeps in the crib, in her room. Sometimes she isn't having it and will get put in her boppy on the couch (yes, I know boppys are not supposed to be used for sleeping, but if the shoe fits you should wear it).

    I mix it up between crib in nursery and swing in livingroom. If she falls asleep in my arms unwrapped I can't put her in crib because she'll wake up right away so I put her in the swing. However if I see sleep coming on I'll wrap her, feed her, then put her in the crib. I try for at least one in the crib a day since that's better for her.

    Ds sleeps in the PnP. Its set up in the living room at all times so thats wear he sleeps.

    I wanted LO so nap in his crib upstairs, but that was before he was born. 1st, LO naps on his tummy (I know I know...) but he really sleeps well on his tummy.  So LO naps in the PNP downstairs.  I use his nap time to do the dishes, pick up the family room, nap myself at times, basically use the time as ME time. I stay close to him since hes on his tummy, but this way hell be down for at least 2 hrs if not longer. 

    Maybe when hes older and actually takes naps at the same time every day well put him in his crib.
