Well ladies, so much for the harvest moon being a fertile time. I was walking down the hallway at work this evening after a terrible couple of days, I've been sick, felt awful, etc. Then suddenly I felt a gush and rushed to the bathroom--had soaked a pad and the bleeding has continued heavy tonight with lots of cramping
My RE's office had just closed so I left a message and I assume they will ask me to come in for a u/s and blood test, which is the worst of it. I know this is a miscarriage, it's happened to me too often before. Plus, all my horrible symptoms this weekend--exhaustion, headache, nausea, gall-bladder pains--are all mysteriously gone. Now that I think about it, this exact same thing happened to me last year when we conceived spontaneously--I felt absolutely awful all weekend and couldn't shake headache and nausea. I assumed it was the start of morning sickness (which I actually haven't gotten in any pregnancies) but then it turns out my body was sensing the hormone changes.
Sigh. My husband bought me a box of chocolate and a big bunch of flowers. My DCs (I have twin toddlers from prior IVF) must have picked up on my mood b/c they literally screamed almost every single minute from the time I got home until they went to bed--3 hours later.
Anyway, I'll check back in, but just wanted to share the news. And hoping for better luck for the other cyclers out there!
