For those of you you don't remember (which may be many of you because I don't post a ton) I have now done a total of 10 fertility treatments. We did 4 IUIs and 3 IVFs to get pg with DS and I am now in the 2ww for IVF #6 (IVFs 4 and 5 were BFNs).
Last IVF we transferred 4 less than great quality embryos and it was unsuccessful. This time the RE decided to take a less is more approach. She said she wondered if having me on such high doses of hormones was making my eggs "angry". She did a very minimal protocol this round and told me they were going for quality not quantity. Well last IVF they retreived 17 eggs and this time they only retrieved 3 so she def wasn't going for quantity
She also said that "they" have seen that too much micro manipulation of the embryos can stress them so decided not to do ICSI this time (which made me super nervous) BUT all three eggs fertilized on there own! Yay
So we did a Day 3 transfer of 3 little embryos. She said that two looked pretty good (grade 2) and the other looked less great (grade 3). Now the waiting begins. Honestly I've never felt this way before.....I just ready for it all to be over so I'm released from this "limbo" I've been living in and can move forward in one direction or another.
Re: Just transferred 3 embryos - my story

This is me 100%. We are going to keep trying IUI til the end of the year, and I think at that point we will declare ourselves done with ttc and move on to adoption. I am just emotionally done with the ups and downs and everything IF.
TTC #2 since 6/2010
10/2012 DH diagnosed with Epilepsy
A few failed IUIs summer 2012 and 2013.
DH taking clomid and waiting to see if he needs another vericocele repair.
Hoping for a 2015 baby or babies.
Wishing, hoping, waiting.
FX that this is your cycle!
And count me in for wanting this "limbo" phase to be over. We are giving it through the end of the year, and if we aren't pregnant starting the New Year then we will move on as a family of 3.
Dx: PCOS and short luteal phase
18 cycles (3 with our RE) - Metformin + Clomid + HCG booster did the trick!

Wow! I'm so glad I'm not the only one feeling like I'm ready to be done. I was sort of feeling bad because I might be just as excited about the fact that "this" will all be over in a couple of weeks as I am the prospect of getting a bfp.
Of course I recognize that may be a defense mechanism since the last BFN may have been the hardest of them all to take.
Thanks for all of the encouragement ladies
