AW: My Military Family

I needed to share this, for those of you that don't know military wives are funny creatures. Mostly if we have something in common we bond instantly because a. You probably haven't been where you currently are long and you need friends or b. you know the other person will probably be moving on soon and you don't want to miss an opportunity to make a great friendship. That and we have all slogged through the same *** at one time or another.

Anyway, not one, not two, but THREE of the military wives I know have offered, no... TOLD me they are coming to the homecoming to take pictures for me and DH so we don't miss a second of time together trying to get our own pictures and so we can always have the picture memories of the first time he meets his daughter!

Still no date, though I won't be able to tell you all until after he gets home anyway for legal and safety reasons, but I think it's so sweet!

I should tell you that one of these girls I've known for a year and a half, one for a year, and the other for only a few months. Two of them are pregnant, and they ALL know that homecomings can be at any hour of the day, yet they are all adamant about being there for me.

And all of them already confessed they will probably cry.

Ah the end is in sight now and I am positively giddy tonight!!!!

    I'm so happy for you! My brother was in Iraq and afganistan so i understanda little about the excitement of a homecoming, but nothing compared to what youre going through with a new baby. Please tell your dh thank you for his service.

    I've met some great women who are fellow army wives! I'm so glad that your DH is almost home. I can only imagine how excited you must be. My DH recently deployed, but I'm already planning for his homcoming. I can't wait to see the pictures. Congratulations!

    I'm utterly excited for this! DH is active army, so I've been watching your posts since I got here about 2 months ago! There's a possible deployment on the soon horizon here and I've been somewhat living through you and your strength knowing that us chicas fully in this military life can totally do this mom thing with a long distance hubby! I'm happy to hear you've found so many great wives there! Can't wait to see these pics!
