I Got My First Placement!

I got a call around 8 pm for a placement for two little boys (siblings) age 13 months and 2.5 years old. The CPS worker arrived here around 9:45 and after filling out lots of paperwork the boys are sleep and I'm ready for a full day of clothes shopping and enrolling the boys in daycare. The goal is reunification since they have family out of state that could take them, but it may take awhile to get that all sorted out. There's a court hearing tomorrow, so maybe I'll know more tomorrow as far as how long they'll be here. If you have any advice I'd appreciate it!

How exciting! My advice is to take it one day, one task at a time. It takes a while to get everyone set up and situated, so just be patient and enjoy getting to know those two little boys!

I hope you have a better understanding of what's to come by the end of today...or (knowing how slow it is to get new sometimes)at least by the end of the week. Good luck and have fun!
