Hi,
I am a working mom of two - a 3 year old and I'm currently on maternity leave with my 8 week old.. We are switching from an in home to a center and now have to label everything for both boys. I am using painters tape and a sharpie for most things (lunch box, bottles, etc.)but how do I label clothes if I want to use them for hand me downs or consignment?
I saw the labels you can buy online but that just seems so pricey to me and was looking for a cheaper solution! Any help is appreciated!

You could buy a label maker and make your own if you think you'll need to do a lot. They make iron-on tape for label makers too for clothing. The machine can be pricey ($40+), so not sure if that's what you had in mind. I asked for one for Christmas.
Or, scout around on any of those discount sites for a deal on label companies. Groupon, living social, totsy, mamasource, plum district...those are a few off the top of my head I can think of. I think I've found deals for labels on mamasource before.
I made an Excel document with my LO's name in every field and cut one off and use invisible tape. Each sheet of paper has 100 "labels" (4 columns with 25 rows in each).
Its as close to free as you can get. Very durable too, but comes right off if you need to run the clothes, blankets, bibs etc. in the wash. Doesn't damage my Tommee Tippee bottles either.
