Flower essences in waterbirth

Hey Mamas,

Has anyone used flower essences during their birth? Especially looking for any experience using them in the tub for a waterbirth. I do want to clarify that I mean flower essences and not essential oils (aromatherapy) although I'd be interested in that too.

I was thinking of taking rescue remedy and putting some in the tub but would love to get more creative.

    I didn't put anything in the pool, but I used lavender essential oil. A warm rag dipped in lavender water and put on my forehead and neck. Also, my sister put it in a dish in front of a fan so the scent filled the room.
