Working Moms

Moms who work & go school

Sorry if this has been asked already.

How do you do it?  Any tips for me.  I just started a Real Estate online course which allows me to work at my own pace.  By the time I have put my boys to bed & packed their bags for the next day its already 10pm by the time I start to study.  I study for an hour or two, not any longer since I have to get up at 6pm. So today, I think it has caught up on me at work and I am on my 3rd coffee now. I just wanted to hear from other working moms out there.

  • it's all about time management.  Can you look into getting some help in the afternoons/evenings - either from a baby sitter or mother's helper, or even your SO?

  • I do classwork on lunch, after DS goes to bed, and on the weekends.  It's still a work in progress.
  • I take 6 hrs a semester, set Saturday mornings wake at 6, end at 12 for my study time while DH watches DD. I also do schoolwork every other night or so during the week, just in 1 hour increments.

  • Thanks for the replies.  I guess I am in the same boat as everyone else.  Its funny because my hubby just said to me that he needs to learn how to put the boys bags together so that I can study more.

  • Help from your DH is the best. I'm finishing my master's program in Dec. and had a 9 am to 5 pm Saturday class. My DH kept my LO on those days.

I study while  my LO is napping or watching Baby Einstein which is a hit in our household now.

Manage your time as best you can! You can do it, Momma!
