Ugh that does suck but on the bright side you don't have to get up at the crack of dawn. I hated getting up so early to get to the hospital at like 6:00.
Wow, that does suck. With my csection I wasnt told I couldnt eat. I had breakfast before we left. Mine was to start at 7:30am and we had to be there at 5:30 am.
I would eat a huge dinner. Is there a reason you cant eat before?
I would vastly prefer getting there at 6. We're relatively early risers around here, so I am going to be awake and hungry for at least 3-4 hours before we have to leave. Grrrr.

Mine was at 3pm!! I think i ate around 5:30 a.m. and that was it. I was so nervous too and you know how dry your mouth can get when you're nervous? Somehow I made it and you will too but yes, it's total insanity to ask that out of pregnant woman!!
Yuck, that does suck! And I've heard that the later they schedule them the more chance you have to get bumped back b/c of emergency c-secs. Mine was scheduled for 10am but 2 days earlier I ended up being one of those emergency ones that pushed back 9 scheduled ones for that day. Good luck! It will be worth it to not eat b/c then you'll have your little one : )
Ditto LadyMantha, it sucks to not eat but I am trying to figure out what to do with DS since I will probably have to be at the hospital at 6-6:30 and I cannot go without kissing him goodbye and don't want to wake him. It all sucks!

I don't understand why it's so freaking late... they called me with the date when I was TWELVE WEEKS pregnant, for God's sake. Gimme the first slot and let's get this over with.

Same thing happened to me. Seriously, get up right before midnight and eat something very filling (I had oatmeal with lots of peanut butter mixed in and some big glasses of water). It helped.
Ugh - that time does suck in "hospital time" b/c as pp said, the likelihood of it getting pushed even farther back is very real - UGH!!!!
On the other hand, I'd love to be able to predict when DS#2 was arriving (even if it was at a crappy time) b/c then I'd at least be able to plan for DS#1... not knowing makes it much harder to plan for childcare, having my mom fly in from out of town, etc.
GOOD LUCK tomorrow if we don't chat before - I still can't believe she's arriving tomorrow YAY!!!!!!
I will probably do the oatmeal thing or something. There is no way I can go that long without passing out.
Hell, I had a snack in the middle of the night last night when I woke up to pee.
None of this is helped by the fact that the woman I talked to was a total ***. My paperwork says in bold "THE PREP TEAM WILL NOT CALL YOU, YOU NEED TO CALL THE DAY BEFORE."
So I called, the L&D team transferred me to some nasty cow who said "We will call you. Wait for the automated call." Not what I was told, witchy-poo.
