You may remember that I asked not too long ago about stopping BCP in favor of condoms for a few months. Well, having never really used condoms before I'm finding that I rather suck at them. I know that's sad, but DH and I were trying to... enjoy ourselves... the other day and we had a serious round of issues. I bought a pack that came with 4 different types since I don't know what's best for us yet. The first one came off and I had to go fish it out of myself, the second one broke, and the third one continued to try to roll itself up again. I tried 3 different kinds for just 1 sack session! Is there some sort of trick to these things?
Re: Condom Catastrophy
They didn't seem too big since they had to stretch to fit... But I think I'm going to buy something different because this selection clearly isn't working, lol!

Did you find that changing brands helped or was it just variety within 1 brand? I picked up Trojan since I know it's popular, but I'm wondering if an off brand might be better...

Oh.. geez.... i dont remember what all we tried, but once we found "the one" we stick with that exact type, no variety lol
We never had good luck with Trojans....they broke on us on multiple occasions. Lifestyles worked well for us.
Kind of an obvious question, but are you putting them on inside out? That could contribute to "rolling". They shouldn't come off unless they are too big if you put them on correctly. Are you rolling all the way to the end of the "shaft" for lack of a better term?
I know they aren't inside out because I couldn't get the first one to unroll while I was trying to put it on inside out, lol! And yes when I did figure out the right way to roll it I did fully unroll it. I'm breaking out the veggies tonight and practicing my unrolling skills because 3 condoms really shouldn't be necessary!

This.
I'm not sure about the rolling issue, but have you been careful about squeezing the reservoir tip while you are rolling it on? If you get air in the tip it can cause the condom to break.

PAIF/SAIF Welcome!
I agree with SoftSkate on this one. If you're stretching to get them on, go bigger. If they're rolling off, it's because they're too small most likely.
My DH tells a funny story about how horrible it was the first few years he had sex, that condoms wouldn't stay on, they made him go soft, and he just didn't get the whole hype about sex because it wasn't pleasurable for him. He finally got with a girl who apparently had seen more than 1 penis, because she immediately told him he needed to go bigger in the condom department!
Trojan Magnum XL's are the only size he can wear (but we only used condoms in the beginning).
The really funny part is he lived in Brazil for quite a while and had a very hard time finding the Magnum XL's (or anything bigger than average). Asking for them in a store with Portuguese was a 2nd language was bad enough, but the Portuguese word for condom literally translates to "tiny shirt". Try asking for an XL tiny shirt. So many weird looks!

Don't know if this an option for you, but the King Richard's brand that is sold at Whole Foods is amazing. We find them comfy and super easy to use.
Do be careful though - we are another Victoria and James and on our first time without the condom, we got ourselves some twins
