Dilemma before I've even started

So I bought a used stash of fuzzibunz off someone a few days ago. I took it all out everything was clean and smelled fresh. I washed it all one time with a tablespoon of Charlie's soap, hot wash cold rinse and put in the dryer. 32 diapers and a bunch of inserts. When they came out, there was a mild smell, like a wet dog. They were just barely a little damp but I still wouldn't think they would come out smelling like that. Am I doing something wrong?

If they are used I would strip them. Dawn soap, hot wash, and then rinse rinse rinse! I usually do a second hot wash with vinegar after and another cold rinse.
