Is anyone considering cloth diapers? What are your thoughts?
I hear it saves about 1000 a year compared to disposable diapers. Also i hear that kids are potty trained between 18-24 mo for cloth diapers vs 3-4 years for disposable. I am thinking I should try it, but was hoping for some feedback

Re: Cloth Diapering?
I CD part-time and love it. Even DH notices how much more slowly the garbage can fills up and he's a total skeptic.
Check out the Cloth Diapering board here on TB. Those ladies are all sorts of helpful. There's also a Cloth Diaper Swap group on FB. Another great website is diaperswappers.com

My blog-The Wino That I Know
I seriously considered switching when DD was about 2 months, then I figured the start up cost on top of the whole coin operated machines we have in our complex wouldn't be worth it.
I'm considering it this time around though because I can gradually build up a really good stash, one that won't having be doing laundry 3 times a week, over the next 9 months.
jilliansdrawers.com has some good cloth diapering info, although it's a NY store but still good info and I think they ship and so does diaperjunction.com
We use cloth and love it for a variety of reasons. They're SO much cuter than disposables, and, even as a working mom, keeping up with the wash routine is not that big a deal.
I'm not sure about the whole potty training thing. DD is 19 months, and she has zero interest in using the toilet (though she does like to barge into the bathroom, point at me and say "pee" when I go, haha). That's fine with me, though, I'd rather do it on her timetable. It had nothing to do with our choice to CD.
We will be cloth diapering this time around. We used disposables with DS but when we started talking about getting PG again and I did some research we (I) decided to use cloth. DH is not 100% on board but since I do about 99% of the diaper changes it gets to be my choice.
Plus they are just so darn cute! I have about 15 AI2 in my stash all ready. I plan on picking up 10-15 more AI2 and some prefolds and covers for the newborn stage.
