Cramping but no period or pregnancy (dup post from 3-6)

Hi Ladies!  The last couple of weeks I have had cramping similar to period cramps (in front in pelvis area, not lower back), and often only on one side, almost like I can feel my ovary doing something.  I haven't got my period yet and I have taken a few pregnancy tests just to rule that out and nothing.  I did have a c-section so wondering if it's related to the healing process going on in there. Also, I EBF and take birth control.

Has anyone else had this?

    I'm on the shot so I haven't had a period since Jan 2010 (before I conceived LO) but I will often have period type cramps. I've always assumed that my body is still on a type of cycle, just without the bleeding part.

    I've had similar issues and no return of AF (even after weaning).  I have spent way too much on HPTs to keep myself sane.  I have read that it could be ovulation causing the cramps - even without AF following although I'm not too sure how that would work?  Just wanted to say you're not alone!
