Re: How was your weekend?

  • I'm pretty sure my weekend qualifies as awful, so I won't go into it. Happy weekend, anyone?

  • Fri: played with Ky after work until A picked her up. Went to bed late after watching a ton of dvr tv.

Sat: Got into a lovely argument with A over the pick-up/drop off schedule. Took Ky to tumbling. After tumbling we went to a local farm for a pick your own pumpkin. Ky was super cute pulling the empty wagon and walking around to all of the pumpkins saying, "How about this one?" (How about is her new phrase lol). My mom took her to the play areas where they had a big bin full of dried corn kernels, a slide, a bouncy house, and some ride on tractors while I loaded the pumpkins. Ky picked a very managable one for mam to carry, I am not sure what my mo and I were thinking! We napped for a bit when we got home and then up to get ready for a local music/food festival with another lesbian couple. It was fun. Some serious conversations took place through out the day and TMM was kind enough to spend a LONG time on the phone being my uninvolved in the drama person! Thanks again!

Sun: Ky slept in a bit (until 8 lol) and then was all about playing outside in her pjs. I had to convince her to get dressed right before A came to get her. After che left, I cleaned while watching Grey's. I made buckeyes and then went over to a friend's house to watch more Grey's and veg.

  • Overall a good weekend. I had a lovely acupuncture session on Saturday, and my lovely V went to do some maintenance stuff without me. I had planned on going along and helping, but I was grateful when she suggested I stay home and read and nap. Heaven!

Sunday morning we had a viewing of our condo, and then I went to volunteer for the Obama campaign. I was doing voter registration in a supermarket entrance. I was surprised at how many people were really friendly. I expected people to be irritated and jerky, but they were nice. Some of them actually thanked me for what I was doing, which felt good :)

Last night was a netflix marathon. It is taking over our life! It seems that our favorites are getting new episodes straight after each other...bah!

Last night was Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead.

Saturday was a trip to the vet, followed by work around the house.  Eventually S and her Dad went to work on our other house (to get it ready to rent), and her Mom and I ran some errands.  That part was fun.

Saturday night S and her Dad were supposed to be home for dinner, but that didn't happen.  So we ended up meeting them out at a local joint after they were done working.  It was fine, just later than I wanted it to be.

Sunday morning I was supposed to have a prenatal massage, but the place messed up my appointment (again) so instead I met S and the parents out for brunch.  Then we all went home and went to work on the second floor.  We got a LOT done (we are in the mud/tape/sand stage), and we're almost ready to paint, but it was exhausting and by the evening we were all cranky.

Sunday evening we had a nice dinner (thanks to the combo of MIL and crock pot), then watched some football and went to bed.

Doggie Day Care has become our savior.  I honestly feel like its some of the best money I spend each week.  Not sure what we would have done without that option during this remodel!
