Pregnant after a Loss

I think I'm going to be joining you ladies!

Hey everyone,

I'm new here, and I just wanted to introduce myself. After having a m/c in July and a CP a few weeks ago, I was thrilled to get another BFP on Friday. Of course I am being cautiously optimistic about this, but I just needed to share my news! I've already been to my OB, who confirmed it and is sending me for bloodwork to check my betas this week.

I'm trying not to be so nervous, as it is going to be a long 9 months.  I have two boys already (ages 5 and 3), but after my losses, I have so much apprehension this time around.

Looking forward to chatting with all of you!

  • Congrats & Welcome. Your apprehension is normal. I've had both a CP and a MMC, so I can totally relate. Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months.

  • Congrats and welcome!  I definitely understand the nerves.  One thing that a friend told me when I got my BFP that was sweet and helped was, "It has to start with a positive test".  It kind of helped me view my BFP as a potential good thing, rather than something to fear.   I hope it helps a little for you as well and try to take things one day & one milestone at a time.
