Hey girls! So many of you know Bryn my DD was in the NICU for 2 weeks after her birth for jaundice & dehydration. Well soon after that I discovered a lump on her neck & brought it up to her pediatrician. After this my world has gotten pretty crazy in a nut shell we think it may be a problem with a lymph node & they are running tests she has had an ultra sound of her kidneys, neck & abdomen blood work 2 x a week & we started physical therapy 1x a week 3 weeks ago. We just got home from our first shots appointment (be ready to die I'm still crying over it) and we were given news that Bryn will need an additional ultra sound of the lump and then we will be sent to a university hospital for a consult with an ENT Dr. and then depending on the results may need a cat scan. Can you F'in believe this? they have no idea what is going on but it could be very serious. Our pediatrician said the C word last week that literally made me sick to my stomach (cancer). She could see the way it effected me and quickly came back with how uncommon that would be. For now they are just keeping a close eye on her blood work & weight (shes in the 5th percentile for her size:() Its hard to enjoy my baby when I have this lingering thought in the back of my mind. Not to mention holding my 8 pound baby down so some one can stick a needle in her arm twice a week or scan her kidneys while she screams til her face is purple is slowly killing me. They backed off for about 2 weeks and we had just 1 or 2 appointments but today when the Dr. assessed the lump she said we would need other ultra sound. Ugh I thought this was over!

oh my goodness, huge (((HUGS))) to both you and your sweet baby girl Blood work and procedures on newborns are the absolute worst. Not to mention, you're probably scared out of your mind right now just waiting to figure out what's going on with Baby Bryn Sad

Ugh. I cannot even imagine. I'm so sorry that you guys are having to go through this. Hopefully the doctor's feeling is right and it's easily fixed and not the the c word. Just know, regardless, we're Ali here for you! Keep us posted...hugs!
