Talk me down ladies....

So I asked A how Ky had ben Sunday/last night since she was a bit off on Sunday morning. I received the following reply:

" She was awesome but idk what you feed her there but she is gaining a lot of weight..."

Indifferent

SERIOUSLY????!!!

The girl barely weights 25 lbs!! She is only in the 25ish% for her age v the 80% for height! She weighed neraly the same at her flu shot appointment as she did at her 2 year check up and they were 2 months apart!!!!

Someone talk me down before I lose my cool completely as I am pretty sure she is implying the kid is getting fat and it is my fault...

    Sounds to me like she knows what to say to push your buttons. :
    Obviously a ridiculous complaint. Best to either ignore it or reply that you really hope she is gaining weight and not play in to the crazy.

    You can tell A to come heft around my 16lb -  2 month old - if she's looking for some perspective ;-)   lol

    Sorry you're having to deal with this - I think you have the patience of a saint!! :-)

    If I were in that situation, my snarky self likely would have thanked her for the offer to meal-plan, grocery shop, and do the cooking for everyone at my house!

    But on a more serious note, I'd probably want to get to the bottom of the comment.  If nothing else, it might be a good reminder/learning opportunity for her to understand that kids internalize and respond to those types of comments at a younger age that you might think. 

    Why it needs to be YOUR job to educate her on these things?  I have no idea.  As others have said, you have the patience of a saint.

    geez.... SHE IS A JERK ..

    I dunno it might be something in the air because i know a few ppl who have NEW babies and they speak of how "FAT" the kids are.. I am am so estatic to see that L is finally starting to get baby chunk rolls they are small but I know she needs it  and is like Ky well way below KY in % and 

    Crap.... what a Bhole!
