There is a concert we want to go to in 2 weeks. It's a pavilion-type venue with a lawn, and we would buy lawn seats. We don't have anyone to babysit. H thinks we should go and take DD. would you do this, and if so, do you think she needs earmuffs?

We are taking DD to a football game in a month and we have headphones for her. I would rather be safe than sorry.
For me it would have more to do with how the baby is. Is she a crier? If so, then no...people want to watch a concert without a crying baby. Then my next thing would be the weather. Even bundled up I wouldn't want a LO out in the cold for too long.
I personally would find a sitter though. Enjoy the show and time alone
Unfortunately, we don't have a sitter. We have no family nearby, and none of our friends are comfortable enough with small babies to keep her that long. So, it's take her or nothing. I am still on the fence!

I would probably base my decision on how expensive the tix are. I wouldn't want to spend a lot when I might need to leave early if the baby got fussy.
We're in the same boat with no family nearby and no babysitters. Interestingly, all of our family is in the DC area (that's where we're from), so if our locations were reversed we would have plenty of babysitters:)

We brought DD to the races a week ago. A friend of ours races OSCAAR Vintage Modifieds and they are anything but quiet...they were not, however, the loudest cars racing that day.
We bought pit passes so that when DD needed to eat or be changed we could use our friends truck and she didn't have to wear her headphones when we were in the truck. She did amazing, she stayed cozy warm in her carseat. We had the stroller and a weather cover for it. She was the warmest person at the track.
Her headphones came from LA, I ordered them and had them shipped express so that we would have them in time. They are big, but they worked, and she didn't mind them at all.
There were people at the track sitting in the stands with very young children without ear protection...but to be honest I wear ear plugs...so why wouldn't I make sure my child is protected.
Anyway...I'd take her...why not? As long as you have somewhere to go to change her then I don't see there being a problem.
