Hi! I'm brand new to thebump, though I've posted no theknot and thenest before. Finally graduated to this stage! It's our one year anniversary tomorrow and DH and I have just started TTC.

I have a question for the more experienced here. So I'll give alittle background. I'm not coming off the BCP, DH and I have used condoms for our method. We gave them up two weeks ago. I had spotting on Sept 17th which I thought was my period, but it didn't really start until the 19th. That would make my fertile days Sept 28th to 30th... I think as my OD would be Oct 1st. We have sex pretty much everyday... and we just came back from a weekend away in which we were in overdrive. I just had some spotting in the bathroom... I could only tell when I wiped. It was pinkish. Other than the spotting I had on the 17th (which was much more than this) I never spot.

So I'm wondering if Sept 17th was the start of my period.. making my fertility days sooner... and then possibly the spotting was from implantation.. or post ovulation spotting?

I know I'm so new at this I should just relax and let whatever happen... but curiousity has gotten me. I know no one can predict for sure... but I'm curious in thoughts? As I said I never spot Tongue Tied

    Unless you are temping or using OPKs then you won't know for sure when your fertile days are. Ovulation calculators are only an estimate. For instance, if I used an online ovulation calculator this cycle it would have told me that based on my regular 28 day cycle that my fertile days would be from 9/17 to 9/22. However, I was using OPKs and my fertile days were around 9/12 to 9/17. So, this cycle I O'd earlier than I normally do...which also made my cycle 23 days instead of the regular 28 days.

    The first day of full flow is considered the first day of your cycle. As for the spotting...If you had quite the exciting weekend with YH then the spotting could be from that.

    Thank you!! That helps alot! They sell OPKs at a dollar store along with pregnancy tests... I might grab a few. I wish I could just relax but I can't help it haha. I did think that too about the spotting after our weekend.. but didn't realize it until after I posted.

    I woke up this morning and my nipples are really sore.. I think my mind and my excitement is getting the better of me!
