I have been sick on and off for the last month. I started back at work 6 weeks ago and quickly got a double ear infection (the most painful thing ever), sinus infection and general cough and wheezing. I finally got over that about 8 days ago and then last night my throat starts hurting, I ache, and I have a temp. I went in this morning and of course I have strep throat. Awesome. Dh was out of town and got home today and his response was 'you're sick again?'. Then he just acted like he was mad I was sick and upset that I can't stay healthy. Then he went and took a nap because he doesn't feel well. Except now he's out biking with a buddy. Seriously? I told him before he left that I need a little TLC when he gets home which he agreed to do, I am really bummed out that he doesn't get that I feel like crap.
He did ask me if getting a housekeeper would help me be more rested or what I need so that I can stay healthy, but I really have no idea. I am not choosing to be sick! So in the spirit of my night, what do you do to stay healthy?
Re: I just want some TLC
Lol, this made me laugh...I work with 6th graders. They are ALL sick. LO is the least of my worries as far as giving me germs. I might feel lucky if she was my only concern in that department. But yes, I take a multivitamin and have stocked up on OJ and fresh fruit.
DH was completely serious about the housekeeper after we talked this morning so I am moving forward on that. We'll see if it helps. I might also ask him to take DD to ECFE class this week so I can either crash or catch up on grading.
Thanks for the hugs, I appreciate it.
I'd totally get on board with the housekeeper idea.
As for how do I stay healthy? I try to remember to take my multivitamin (which is laughable, because I haven't taken one in like 3 months), get my flu shot (still haven't gotten it this year), and wash my hands.
In general, I'm not really sick that often, except from allergies, which I treat as needed. DH tends to be the one who gets sick more often, so I'm forcing his flu shot this year (already got him his tetanus/pertussis).
